While iTunes and the web app do not offer the lyrics function, Cider fully supports time-synced lyrics. The program is fully open-source, fast and efficient, offering users the entire functionality provided by Apple Music in the web app and then some. In the absence of a dedicated solution, Cider is a third-party, open-source client that grants users the ability to stream Apple Music songs from their machine, all through an intuitive, modern interface. There is no dedicated desktop app for Apple Music currently: if you wish to stream songs on your computer with your subscription, you have to resort to using iTunes or running the web app in your browser to access and play your music.
